If you have had a blood test or urine test, ring one week later unless otherwise specified.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results. Information regarding Carers of patients unable to understand/care for themselves must be recorded in patient record before any information can be given.  To add this information to a patient record, we need a signed and dated consent from the patient or their legal representative.

When you have your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice, however please note X-Ray and Scan results will only be sent to the clinician who has requested them...ie if your GP has requested a test the result will come to the practice, if a consultant has requested a test for you the result will go back to your Consultant.

It is your responsibility to ring the surgery for your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
