Repeat PrescriptionsNice_blue_pills

Patients on long-term repeat medication can order prescriptions by completing the right hand side of the counterfoil and placing it in the box at our main reception desk.

Please note:  we do not accept requests over the telephone and if the medication you are requesting is not on repeat you will need to see a doctor.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Our Prescription ordering service requires a minimum of 48 hours notice to ensure your prescription has been issued, checked and signed, ready for collection either by you or a designated Pharmacy acting on your instruction. Please order your medication in good time to ensure you do not run out.
  •  If you choose to use a Pharmacy to collect your prescriptions you should confirm with them exactly what medication you require within 7 days of your order being placed.  You should NOT BE ASKED TO CONFIRM THIS INFORMATION ON COLLECTION OF YOUR CURRENT MONTHS MEDICATION as this will not be clear until time of next order being placed - a long period will have passed during which your medications may be changed by your GP or hospital Consultant, you may also be admitted to hopsital during this time and your medications may change on Discharge.
  • Medication for patients travelling abroad will only be issued for a MAXIMUM OF 2 MONTHS at the discretion of the Practice Partners. Repeat medication will then be removed from the patient record and patients MUST attend surgery on their return for a health /medication review review and medication to be re-instated.
  • If items are requested before their due date the practice will not issue this medication.
  • WE WILL NOT ISSUE MEDICATION FOR PATIENTS CURRENTLY ABROAD
  • MEDICATION CANNOT BE SUPPLIED/DISPENSED BY A PHARMACY WITHOUT A SIGNED PRESCRIPTION FORM YOUR DOCTOR- however this may be requested in an emergency over a Bank Holiday period but a short supply should be given only.  This medication will be taken from your normal prescription when the practice provides this to the pharmacy.  We will not issue EXTRA medication.
